Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of companies do you work with?

We work best with small businesses owners, solopreneurs and professionals who are really good at what they do, but don’t quite have the website or marketing presence yet to match the quality of their work.

How does Big Cedar compare to other digital marketing agencies?

With us you’re not just a number – get the personal service of a freelancer, but the quality and professionalism of a big marketing firm. And we’ll never sell you anything you don’t need – trust and integrity are our core values.

What should you look for in an SEO agency?

If it can’t be explained in plain English, then it’s not fully understood. Don’t fall for jargon, never be afraid to ask questions, and look for personality. We’re all people behind the screens, after all!

I'm not sure if I should spend on ads or SEO. How does your SEO agency help my business grow?

Often clients come in thinking they need ads, but they’d be much better off improving their landing page and optimizing their website for conversions. Or sometimes someone needs quick results and comes ready to pay for SEO services, when ads would be better. We’ll look at your business, competitive environment and budget to make a plan on where to best put your marketing spend to meet your goals.

How long does it take to see results from SEO?

SEO doesn’t work instantly, and be wary of anyone that promises otherwise. As the number of web pages grows exponentially, Google is getting pickier on how often it crawls. Results depends on many factors (over 200 in fact!) including whether the site is local, the amount of traffic, backlinks, and whether the technical side is setup correctly, but you can expect to see results in 4-6 months, and sooner in many cases.
